Ace works through the official CLI — Codex CLI for ChatGPT or Claude Code for Claude. Both ship inside the app at pinned, signature-verified versions, so there is nothing to install; on first run you sign in to your own ChatGPT or Claude account. That subscription is billed by OpenAI or Anthropic, costs around $20 a month, is not included in the Ace subscription, and is not resold here. Which of their plans qualify is set by OpenAI and Anthropic, not by us. Without one, Ace cannot reason.

If you already pay for ChatGPT or Claude, Ace is the only new line. If you do not, you need one before Ace can reason, and it is better to know that before checkout.

Cancel before day 8 from your account or by email and the dollar is all you ever spend. The checkout shows both the charge today and the day-8 price before you pay.

How does the $1 first week work?
The dollar starts seven days of full access, and day 8 is printed before you pay. Cancel before day 8 and the total cost of trying Ace was one dollar.
What happens at the end of the $1 week?
$20 is charged automatically on day 8 and every month after, until you cancel. A card is required to start. Cancel before day 8 and the dollar is all you spend.
What is included?
Every current Ace mode and feature: Gold Agent, Notes, Red Agent, Partner, Stealth, Trader. There is no feature tier to choose.
How do I cancel?
Open your account, choose Manage subscription, and cancel in Stripe's secure billing portal. No phone call, no retention offer, no reason required.
Do I get a refund if I forget to cancel?
No. Cancel before renewal to stop the next charge; a paid month remains available through its billing period. If a verified material Ace defect prevents core use and support cannot fix it, we refund the affected Ace charge. See refunds.
Do I have to pay for ChatGPT or Claude as well?
Yes. Ace requires your own account with one of them and neither is included in the Ace subscription. Which provider subscriptions qualify is set by those providers and can change without notice.
