Ace connects only for the provider, service or task you chose. These are the complete categories.
Outbound
Fixed services and task-specific destinations.
Connected AI provider
Whichever of ChatGPT or Claude you signed in to. Your request and the file, screen or conversation context you chose go directly from your Mac to the AI provider, authenticated as you. The Ace operator is not in that path and cannot read the traffic.
Ace service endpoints
Activation, licence validation and update checks carry the licence or activation record, device identifier, app version and status needed for those operations. Buyer prompts, file contents, screen contents and filenames are not sent to these endpoints.
Task-specific destinations
A browser action, web fetch, approved outside source, network-enabled workflow, Mac app, MCP tool or plugin can contact the website or service required by the task. The destination depends on what you asked for and which accounts or tools you enabled; it is not a fixed Ace host list.
Apple and configured system services
macOS may contact Apple for Gatekeeper and other system services. A Mac app you ask Ace to use, such as Mail or Calendar, may contact the account provider already configured in that app. Those connections follow the Mac, app and account settings you control.
Deliberately absent
What is not there.
- No Ace-owned analytics or telemetry
- No Ace-owned crash reporter
- No session replay
- No advertising or attribution SDK
- No third-party script on this website
- No cookie except your own sign-in session
- No fonts loaded from anyone else's server
- No content delivery network holding your files
The bundled provider runtime is vendor software authenticated to your provider account. Its vendor-service traffic is governed by that runtime version and the provider's policy; Ace does not claim those connections are limited to model inference.
